Hey, guys. Long time I don't write anything yet. Well, when I want to write, maybe this just would be the same a before. Not means like I wanna be a movie critics or somekind, but I found some wonderful movie to share at the time. I watched "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" just today at Social lesson (we're talking about Nazi). Somehow I want to watch it again and explore something more. Believe me that the movie, which is based from John Boyne's best selling novel, has a very touching and beautiful story (make me wanna watch more movie about Nazi and Jews...)

The story begins when a schutzstaffel officer, Ralph, brings his family moving to the countryside where he has to work there. This is a kind of difficult moment for his eight year-old boy, Bruno(Asa Butterfield), who has really enjoyed his life in Berlin with a lot of friends.

When they have moved, Bruno totally dislikes his new home by being homeschooled and not allowed to leave his house. Bruno always wonders to be outside his house, which is near with a strange place he calls "farm". From hisbedroom window, he also could see that the farm is full with people in striped pyjamas. One of those people is working in his house. Bruno gets to know this man, who later introduces himslef as a man named Pavel, after this old man helps him when he falls out from his homemade tire swing. Pavel is a kind man and he admits that he was a doctor before. But Pavel is being treated so badly by Bruno's father's adjutant, Kotler (Rupert Friend). While it's unknown to Bruno, her mother, Elsa, is getting confused that their house is near a Nazi Concentration Camp, which Jews people get exiled.

Being extremely bored, Bruno finds away to escape from his home to the woods near his house. While exploring the woods, he aboards to the "farm", he always sees from his bedroom window. He meets a boy in the striped pyjamas, who also share the same age as him, named Shmuel(Jack Scanlon). Both are divided by a fence but they have a conversation together and a glance they become friends. They both share story about their own lives. Sometimes Bruno brings him a food. Based from Shmuel's story, Bruno knows that the soldiers prison the jews, took away their clothes and foods, and only give them striped camp clothing.

Later Bruno becomes confused under his family's and teacher's explanation about the jews. They tell that the jews are not a kind of human being and they are the enemies. Vruno think that the jews are friendly like Shmuel and Pavel. Under confusion, Bruno keeps his friendship with Shmuel secretly through the fence secretly, thou he knows that this friendship might make his family get mad.

Well, I think that the movie is totally great for me. It tells about friendship, forgiveness, humanity and also some knowledges about the holocaust. We could see that Bruno and Shmuel are only fragile boy with very childish beliefs. Actually, Bruno couldn't really see what the soldiers, including his father, have done to the jews. He doesn't really know how suffered the jews are. All he knows is Shmuel is his best friend although his family say that jews are hideous savages. His friendship conquer all the family's foolish rules. He loves his friends no matter who they are.

The jews also bring us a wonderful feeling. If we want to see, Pavel should hate the Germanies who have imprisoned them and damned their life. But he still acts very kind to Bruno, the innocent child. When Bruno falls out from his swing, Pavel could leave him alone because it's none of his bussines. But he helps the child and mends the cut on his leg without any purpose but helping others! He does it without any commands. The same thing also happens to Shmuel. Once time, Bruno gets him into trouble, but he gives Bruno forgiveness when Bruno apologies.

Once I watched it, I fell in love. This movie is the one you must see thou, well, it ain't really a story with happy ending. From this movie we could learn that trough the eyes of childish boy, we could see a beautiful view that hidden in a hideous junk. Very beautiful... <3
